About Us

The Mukhur Bay could not boast with many resorts on its coasts. There were just a few places left from the Soviet times The idea of resort creation came to be true In 1997. The resort started with one wooden house, later it turned out to be a whole complex with amenities for adults and kids. “Chara” is a place with a charming name where everyone can find  home-made comfort and cosiness. 

With its early days “Chara” resort became popular. It grew bigger. Now it can host 180 people. One of the main feature of the resort – its clients who come every summer from different corners of our country. They fell in love with the resort because the personnel of the resort is very welcoming, intelligent and creative.

Tatiana M. Ivanova is the manager of the resort. She has been working in the resort for six seasons. Preparing the resort to the new season, closing the season, meeting guests are just a few of her duties. It will be right to say that she is a leading manager of the place.

Our cuisine wouldn’t have been so delicious without out chefs and their assistants.

Marina Kruchinina and Anna Vladimirova work in the bar. They meet our guests here and help to turn every evening into a fest.

To make the time spent on the resort really unforgettable we hired Lily Klopot who is a neverending source of energy, fun and festivity.

The resort has tour guides who are one of the best experts of the Lake Baikal. They are Lyudmila Kompanets and Nina Prosandeeva. They can take you on a walking or a bus excursions of the coast of Maloye Morye. They can show you underwater world of the most exciting places (you will visit the Lake of Meteorites, Kuryikanskiye Walls and garnet alluvials, Sarma Valley and Eagle Rock and Kurminskiye istochniki which are believed to have the earth and water strenghts. You can also visit the waterfalls, the Primorskii spine, the Dream cave (Peshera Mechta) and the legendary Olkhon Island which is referred to as the pearl of the Lake)
