One of the most unique places of the Sacred Lake is Olkhon Island. It’s referred to as the Heart of Baikal. The place has a special energy, it is sacred for the people living there.  Shamans and voodoo people from all over the world worshiped the Island. They believed that here was the place where the Earth and the Heaven Spirits meet. Even the Genghis Khan warriors performed their rites here because they thought that the Island could give them enlightenment and strength.
